Lost in Random has already found its fair share of success since its announcement, becoming an official Tribeca Film Festival selection earlier this year alongside titles like Sable, Kena: Bridge of Spirits, 12 Minutes, and Harold Halibut. It competed for the inaugural Tribeca Games Award, which was eventually won by sci-fi adventure game, Norco. Her journey will take her throughout the various realms of the visually distinct kingdom, seeing her befriend a host of zany characters and go head to head with an array of creepy enemies. Players will step into the shoes of Even, a young girl looking to save her sister from the clutches of a mad queen who rules the world with her ominous black dice. The system appears to add an extra layer to Lost in Random's combat, allowing players to invest in a deck of cards that best fits their playstyle.įor those unacquainted with the latest addition to the EA Originals roster, Lost in Random takes place in the titular Kingdom of Random. Landing on low numbers will give players the opportunity to use a common ability, while higher rolls will let them wield the most dangerous attacks in Even's arsenal. Once fully charged, players will be able to roll their ally, with the number he lands on dictating which cards they can use. These cards give protagonist Even the ability to unleash magical powers in combat, allowing her to pause time, summon weapons, lay down bombs, freeze enemies, and much more.įights themselves will begin with players using Even's slingshot to knock energy cubes off their opponents, with the power-ups charging her anthropomorphic dice companion, Dicey.
